On Tuesday 14 August, FAWU led a march with the support of sugar and chicken industry representatives – in an aim to protest against the illicit trade of tobacco and VAT-free tariffs.
Tax invasion from foreign trade and the illicit import of tobacco are two of the major causes for the rapid decline in South Africa’s trade industries. FAWU stand to protect South African workers and its economy and will stop at nothing until the government takes action. Read more here on News24
